Seminar covering theory and research on acquisition of language, including biological and environmental influences and constraints; research methods; role of parents; individual and cultural differences; links between language and other domains of development including cognitive, behavioral, social, and emotional; language and the brain; animal language; bilingualism; and atypical language development. May not be repeated for credit.
Recommended Prerequisite: 3 credits graduate Developmental Psychology or permission of instructor.

Enrollment limited to students with a class of Advanced to Candidacy, Graduate, Junior Plus or Senior Plus.

Enrollment is limited to Graduate or Undergraduate level students.

Students in a Non-Degree Post-Baccalaureate or Non-Degree Undergraduate degrees may not enroll.
