Gabrielle (Gabby) Newcomb, is a first-year M.A. student in the Applied Developmental Psychology Program working under the advisory of Dr. Olga Kornienko in the Peer Networks & Development lab. She obtained her B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Virginia Commonwealth University in Spring 2021. After conferring her degree, Gabby worked as a child behavior and family support provider executing in-home behavioral interventions for children with disabilities. Her research interests include ACEs, childhood trauma and correlated health/wellbeing outcomes later in life, and how peer/familial networks are protective against negative outcomes. She aspires to be a life-long learner and to contribute impactful work to her community.
