Jennifer Bivin is a first-year M.A. student in the Applied Developmental Psychology program working under Dr. Sabine Doebel in the Developing Minds lab. She graduated from George Mason University in 2023 with a B.A. in Psychology, and continued on to work as a research assistant at the Center for the Study of Traumatic Stress (CSTS) in Bethesda, MD. At CSTS, Jennifer supported projects that observed military child and family populations, with the overarching goal of creating interventions for suicide prevention.

At GMU, Jennifer is interested in conducting research that measures the associations between environmental influences- such as participation in dance as an extracurricular activity- and executive function development in childhood.
