neurodevelopment in autism and ADHD, internalizing disorders, motivation

Natalie is a second-year Ph.D. student, studying under the guidance of Allison Jack. Her research focuses on identifying cognitive factors and neural correlates associated with the development of internalizing disorders in autistic populations. She is committed make research more inclusive by focusing on populations historically underrepresented in autism research, including those assigned female at birth and gender diverse individuals. Taking a neurodiversity-affirming approach, her research highlights the diverse presentations across the autism spectrum to improve diagnostic criteria and deepen understanding of autistic identity.
