neurodevelopment in autism and ADHD, internalizing disorders, motivation

Natalie is a second-year Ph.D. student, studying under the guidance of Allison Jack. Her research uses neurobehavioral and developmental approaches to better understand autism and ADHD, while critically evaluating clinical tools that often overlook individuals assigned female at birth or those who are gender diverse. Specifically, she is interested neural correlates of anxiety and depression in the autistic population, with the goal of improving treatments and prevention strategies. Overall, Natalie is committed to making autism research more inclusive, particularly for often-overlooked populations such as autistic individuals with co-occurring intellectual disabilities or other conditions (e.g., deaf or disabled autistic individuals, those with specific medical conditions).
